Software patch available for aborted sequences due to a VWD signal
error.

Situation:
Due to an inconsistency in the way the HPLC ChemStations (DOS Series),
revision A.02.00 decode the error bits generated by the HP 79855 C
(VWD), sequences may be aborted after a signal overflow in the VWD.

Solution/Action:
A software patch (revision number A.02.01) is available from the
analytical response centers that solves this problem.
The patch consists of a single executable file that has to be copied
to the system directory of the HPLC ChemStation
      e.g  c:\hpchem\lc3dexe

This defect will be fixed in the next release (A.02.02), scheduled
for september, 1993.
